Renewable energy like solar and wind has an important part to play in our regional energy future. These projects provide good paying local jobs from construction to maintenance.
Unfortunately, like many other projects in coastal California, large scale wind and solar projects face opposition from groups seeking to delay and ultimately stop these projects. Delay, uncertainty and regulation keep many job-producing projects in renewables off the books in our coastal region.
If we can't use either traditional energy sources like oil & natural gas, or renewables like wind or solar to power our economy because of opposition, how will we preserve our quality of life for our local families?
